Anyone use MagicJack Voip service?

I'm doing research to see if I should switch.

If you have used MagicJack I would love to read your comments.

TIA!
Laura

I saw the infomercial yesterday and wondered the same thing. $39 per year sounds great to me, but do you get what you pay for???

I'll bet it works great for calling out, however, it doesn't appear that you'd have a phone number...did I miss that?

This from their FAQ...

" You get a regular ten-digit telephone number with magicJack, and anyone in the world can call you."

Apparently, each device comes with its own built in phone number.

However, since you have to plug it into a USB port, your computer has to be on in order to use your phone; otherwise, inbound calls got to voicemail on THEIR system.

Websites

I know some websites that give more info. I googled the words +magicjack +hate

I tried to post the URLs in this message but NR's filters wiped out my post.

So sorry for the odd formatting - hope this works
