Beware of TKI Closings

Tim Persing of TKI Closings called me to close documents for his company at a fee of $100. I accepted the job. He didn't pay and did not return my calls or emails. He finally called back to say he would have the payment in the mail before the end of the week. At the same time, he asked that I do another loan closing for him for $150. Believe it or not, I said yes. I said I would in good faith that he will send payment. He has not paid me for either closing. I have communicated with him through email. I have all of the emails stating he would send the payment - then he said the payment came back undeliverable and he would send again - and then nothing. He will not return my calls or emails. How do we get our money from these people??

I never do a closing for a client who is overdue with me. Now you have 2 closings with no pay. These days you really need to watch who you work for.

Natalie, reality overrides faith in this business. If a company ignores the agent, won't return e-mails and continues to withhold payment, let reality determine whether you will work for the company again. If I have followed all necessary steps to receive payment, you can bet I will not take another job from the company if I had to beg or chase my money. Even if they pay me at some point I will not waste my time and energy on another job just to have to go through the begging cycle again. So Natalie, the reality here is that you may or may not get paid. All I know to do is hound the heck out of them until you wear them out. If they fold that's another story.

He's a dirty dog. Smile Work has been slow, or I really don't think I would have given him the second chance.

contract contract contract

Some of these companies listed here on this site have independent contractor contracts - these are supposed to protect us and them, but has anyone received one back, signed by the ss or tc company?

Not sure if you had a signed contract with them, but if you did, I'd consider small claims court.

Re: contract contract contract

MU HA HA!!! I would have said yes to the closing, recieved the docs and then would have gone along with the usual. Oh sure i've confirmed. I'll send you tracking #. Then nothing. He'll look really bad to the person he's getting work from. Creep!!!! :/

I wouldn't actually do that. Just trying to lighten things up. I'm still waiting on payments as well but not from this company.

ROFL. I would have felt horrible for the borrower though. I need to grow some nerve huh?

Re: contract contract contract

I am considering my emails contracts as he clearly committed to payment on them. I have signed contract for companies, but never had them sign anything for me... that's food for thought for me.

Very simple answer to the question...initiate legal action for collection.
