I don't think my question was out of line.

If the poster is a person of ESL then I can understand the misspelling of Prificiency, citys, notarys. If not, then that's a different story.

The "Prificiency" as the spelling of the handle still has me scratching my head.

As to the person asking about advertising on this board. Yes, Harry has asked signing services to use the database of his members.

Brenda, I just find it odd that some on the board get chastised for advertising on the forum and others do not. I try to adhere to the rules of any forum and expect others to do the same.

Re: Corp info

From their website:

1. Proficiency Signing pays its notaries in full and on time; there's a reason the Better Business Bureau granted it an A rating.
2. We require our signing agents to have a minimum of 3 years of experience; therefore we get what we pay for.
3. Our daily status and tracking report gives your business all the detailed information you need to track your orders.
4. Our successful investment in technology, unparalleled communication skills and multi-functioning training system allows us to support double the volume compared to our competition.
5. We personalize your account. Orders are booked within 30 minutes of receipt. The team will report to you directly with prompt communication and reports. Each team is equipped with a PDA so that they can monitor your closings after hours.
6. Our excellent communication skills helped us develop a verbal and email system that pressures notaries to drop off docs for Saturday pick-up if signed late Friday or early Saturday.
7. We include customized signing notes for every closing that details basic procedures for your signing agent as well as any special instructions for the specific signing.
8. Proficiency will be responsible for the signing process. Once we receive your signing request, rest assured that we will monitor it until the end.

They "incorporated" in Dec 2006, so they've been around a little over a year. Anybody worked for them during this time?

Can we deduct our (seldom used) ‘prayer rug’ and the corresponding time to prey 6 times a day from out fee? I’m not counting the ‘foot wash,’ which as I understand it is optional in FL. And if I sign up, do I REALLY have to face Mecca? I’ve always sort of had problems with maps.

No! But you can do what I did: been in the USA for 6 years I have my BA in marketing and management. I drive a new 60k car. I own my company that’s making me lots of money and I am starting a building project worth 1.2 m!!!! See I do that because I don’t site all day and just chat!!!! And yes I have a problem with spelling but its ok because: Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.
Kahlil Gibran….. Wish you all the best in life! And for the 58 new notaries that just applied to our website thank you for your proficiency will be contacting you soon.

May Allah, or whatever gods you pray to be with you. And may I say welcome to the USA. I am most pleased that you have found success (60K car, own company, lots of money, and a 1.2 million building project) here. I'ts a GREAT country isn't it? May the blessings of the wise fall upon the 58 notaries that wisely signed with you. Don't forget to send me your info. I'm waiting. ( My car, although paid for, is a bit more than year old, and cost less than 25 G's!)

Thats the thing about chat boards. You just can't please everyone. Sorry you are offended, Just think how vexed you'd be if I posted what I really think about people coming on these chat boards advertising some scheme of theirs to get rich quick. Please feel free to ignore my posts in the future.

I have just one question before submitting my info., please.

It seems, at least in my experience, that the word 'volume' is frequently followed by the words 'reduced fees.' Are you offering decent paying closings or are you offering low paying closing in exchange for what you consider volume? I ask because I have been offered reduced fees for volume, but I have rarely seen the volume promised.

"I drive a new 60k car. I own my company that’s making me lots of money and I am starting a building project worth 1.2 m!!!! "

One thing I have learned over the years is those who really have money do not feel they have to brag to people about how much they have. Those who do I find are really insecure and usually have their finances built on a house of cards. And to put things in perspective, it costs about $10 million to plan, build and open a decent grocery store in Southern California. Warren Buffett drive a 10 year old car and lives in a modest home. Bill Gates frequently rides a bicycle and is often seen around the bay area in blue jeans and tennis shoes ..... Take note .....

Once upon a time

While I was living in London and visiting Harrods on day I overheard an English mother and her 2 adolescent boys. The boys were making fun of a man with an accent.
The mother told them "boys when you hear someone speaking with an accent it just means that they speak at least one more language than you do."

Once again, I am a little dense but ..........

Why is it that signing services feel that they have to advertise like this asking us to go to their website to sign up.

Let me make a counter proposal. Use this (or a couple other well known notory sites) enter the zip code you have work, and you will get a list of qualified notaries with their qualifications listed on their profiles.

What is my incentive to go to a bazillion different ss websites and spend hours signing up when belonging to maybe 4 sites such as this has brought me perhaps 97 percent of all my new contacts the past 4 years? Too much work, too little return ... JMHO

I am offended at the child like acts of this board!!!!!

This company has been referenced before as a good and timely paying SS. Why would people berate a company that comes on here to give you work? What is wrong with you people? Are you serious? How offensive! I use this board to find leads and work. I am surprised that ANY COMPANY uses this for access to notaries!!! The way that most of you act is uncalled for!!!!

...I do agree with you CF to a certain degree, but....

...if the rules state that you can't advertise your business in this forum, then this SS should comply, and seeing how they are not complying, then why should we take them seriously.

,,it makes me think that if they are willing to break the rules here, they are or will break the rules when it comes to honoring your payment for services....

..and c'mon, you have to admit that SOME of the stuff said here was pretty darn-tootin funny...

..lighten up, not that serious....lol everyone.

Funny? Sheesh....

I agree with CJ, there was NO reason for such a personal attack and anyone that finds it funny should take a good hard look at their values.

As far as advertising goes, you mean that Harry shouldn't allow companies that are looking for SA's to post? Why would you want to be a member of a site that didn't allow that type of post? Isn't this what it's all about...FINDING WORK?

Advertising as I understand it....

you are not suppose to advertise anything that is competition to this site. Such as, another pay per notary listing site or some other site that sells the supplies that this site sells.

This is to bring notaries to companies that need them. With people acting the way they do....there is no wonder that I do not receive the calls from this site that I, once, used to. Not to mention the "outdated" notary information that was fixed earlier this week.

JMHO!!!!

Per Harry's Rules & Guidelines for forum above...

"I. Advertising

Do not advertise your own products or services without prior approval. Most advertisements are not relevant to most users and are therefore wasted space.

Do not advertise competing websites, directly or indirectly, without prior approval. We spend thousands of dollars per month to advertise our service for your benefit. We would rather not be paying to advertise for the benefit of our competitors. This includes sites like 123 and goMobile."

It very clearly states that we are not to advertise our own services or products. But, if Harry doesn't mind why should I care. His rules like most others, get broken too. Ask Negrete about that.

JMHO
