Century Document Services

I would like to say something about Century Document Services and Darla Rock. I believe that Darla is great to work for. In the four years I have worked for Century Document Services, I have always been treated with respect and with fairness. I have always been paid on time. Darla is always helpful, and has been willing to help me even on closings I did not do for her. Several times I had docs that I could not open to print( for other companies) and she converted them for me! All on her time at no cost to me. When I was still learning, she gave me help on difficult closings I was doing even if they were for other companies. To those of you reading, (and believing) sour-grape letters about Century Document Services from one notary without knowing the whole picture, think again! This signing company is one of the best, and most honest, I have ever worked for. Without Darla's help, I would not be doing closings. She gave me help when I was a newbee, and she continues today to show me that company deserves respect because she is faithful to do her part and more.
The truth is out there, and it is not the negative picture that was painted!!! I, for one, stand up for Darla!

Agree: Century Document Services

Darla is very straight forward and honest with notaries... She gives repeat business and treats people fairly in my experiences with her. Great week to all, Janet

I'm glad Darla was honest with you. She surely wasn't with me. Nor was she with other notaries that I've spoken to. I'm happy to see that there are at least a couple of exceptions.

My experience with her wasn't unlike the way she treated several others. When the borrowers started changing times and dates, she was given a little more time to look for a low baller. Unfortunately, I have one living near me that will do a refi w/edocs and travel 20 miles (one way) for $85.00. I suppose if I wanted to make more of a profit off the back of a low-ball notary, I would too. I guess you can't fault her there. That's more money in her pocket instead of the notary's.

IMHO, it's people like Darla and others like her that hurt the signing agent business as a whole.

I spoke to Darla today, 12-31-08. I did get paid for my signing. There apparently was a misunderstanding/miscommunication between Darla, her schedulers, and myself concerning a signing that I was supposed to do for her company last year. At the time, Darla did call and apologize for the situation. I explained to her per our phone call today why I was upset at the time. During the course of our conversation, she sounded like a genuinely friendly, nice person.

I've read several posts regarding Century Documents since my experience and all are positive. I no longer do loan signings, but from the comments that I've read I wouldn't be afraid to accept one from her company.

Century Document Services LOWBALL

I got my first call from Century Document Services wanting me to do 1st mortgage re-fi with e-docs. I quoted my fee of XXX.XX and the lady responded by saying, "That's way too much. As a signing company, the most we can pay is $100 because we only get $115 for the signing."

I have a feeling this is a lie, because most signing services get $175 MINIMUM (usually $200 - $250) for the signing. It doesn't make any sense either because if you're a signing company who's "only getting $115," why would you give $100 of it to a signing agent and only keep $15 for yourself? That's not very profitable.

Even it what she said is completely true (which I doubt), then Century is not a very smart signing service to be charging title companies and lenders only $115. I personally would not work for Century considering the low fees they offer, although to their credit, $100 is a little better than the $50 to $65 fees I still get offered every now and then, to which I promptly reply *CLICK*.

As requested, I am adding the following statement:

I am retracting my previous statement about Darla Rock being a shady, dishonest, liar.
