Closing Quest

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but I did a RESPA signing for Closing Quest on 11-28-07 and still haven't been paid. Has anyone else had problems with them?

I emailed my invoice to Rikki when I completed the signing. No problem. 30 days later, I sent a reminder. I sent a total of 4 invoices requesting payment before they bothered to say that I have to submit it through their website! There was no mention of that in any of their emails or instructions. By the time they told me that, it was already over 60 days since I did the signing. (They're supposed to pay in 45-60 days) That was on Jan. 16th. So, I immediately went to the website and submitted it.

I got another email today (2-7-08) telling me that I never invoiced them throught the website! It's a good thing I copy & pasted the confirmation info when I submitted it. I sent a reply with all the info in it. It's now been 70 days and no pay. All they're doing is trying to find stupid reasons not to pay me. All for a whopping $60.00!! Well, it's actually now $70.00. I added a $10.00 late fee to the last invoice I sent them.

I'll never take another signing from them for any reason. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!! They're just not worth all the headaches and hassles that go along with them and their paltry fees - even if you're one of the lucky ones who do eventually get paid.

How did you get paid? Did they just sent it to you or did you have to send a demand letter, file a complaint or something else?

I just filed a complaint with the BBB. I don't know if it'll do any good or not. I'll have to wait and see.

They even had the nerve to call me to do another RESPA signing today! Can you believe it??

Brandy actually called me late this afternoon to do a signing tonight. I told her I would call her back I had to check my schedule. She is still waiting.

ROFLMAO! That's a good one. I'm going to use that on the next crappy company that calls me!

Re: Closing Quest:? what I did was....

Call and call her. I email her too. I always reply to the conformation email they send to me, that way they always get what they sent and I know the person got it. If I need to talk to some one else I usually get a reply with the next persons email address and I just forward it from there. In my case Rikki told me that she was waiting on the owner to come over and sign the checks but when they sent it to me it had a stamped signature on it. You also can try calling the Loan Company the borrowers got the loan from or the Broker Co or the Title Company you sent the docs to that always helps to get the ball rolling for me. For Closing Quest, I had a friend who told me that they pay in about 90 days, just for got and took 2 signings and she was right 90 days on both of mine. I still bugged them. Good Luck

File a complaint with the BBB like I did. Maybe we all should. This company is turning out to be another SOX.

I can't remember the exact wording, but I used the option about contracts not fulfilled. I didn't use the one about employment practices.

Exact same thing with me

took over 60 days to get paid for both RESPA signings I did..they kept saying my invoice wasn't in the system (and I also printed out the confirmation of submission - both times!!) -

Re: Exact same thing with me

They had major management changes in 2007. They lowered the fees payable and slowed the payments. You might try sending an e-mail to owner [e-mail address]
asking for an explanation, but I found camping on the phone for him was better. You'll need to be insistant as he is very good at avoiding the topic . Eventually payment came to me in July for a signing in April. He explained that they were going to implement a new pay system that would pay the notary within ten days. Based upon the lower fees and the slow payment (took more time and trouble to collect than to complete the assignment) , it simply wasn’t worth continuing any kind of relationship for me. It looks as though the promised better payment system was not implemented. Good luck.

Re: Exact same thing with me

Here's an update from Rikki in accounts payable at CQ. Apparently, it's all our own faults that we're not getting paid. We can't follow instructions and submit our invoices through their website. (Her words, not mine.)

Funny.....I sent her a copy of the confirmation info from when I submitted it. Hmmm....

Shame on all of us!!

I called last week and Brandy told me to email their account

...ing department. I did that and haven't heard one word since! I'm gonna fax them an invoice and call to confirm they received it. They are the only company still owing me and I did the signing in early Nov.
