I lost the $500 dollar bet!!................

I bet my assistant $500 bucks that Patriots would win the Superbowl under 20 points. He obviously bet the opposite and I thought for sure I was going to make an easy $500. Boy was I wrong!!! **EEERRR**

Great game though! I can't wait for House to come on. That's one of my favorite shows. Smile

Never underestimate a Manning.

I had no dog in this fight (a Brenda term), but I am a Peyton Manning fan from WAY back and I was rooting for his younger brother to achieve the same as his father and brother had. I feel really proud, but wonder what this Manning Dynasty will bring.

Las Vegas is reeling. What was the last spread? 'NE +10????? Ouch!

What a Game!

I think the spread was 12. This was an awesome game. The first one I watched all year.

Re: I lost the $500 dollar bet!!................becca

Vegas doesn't really care who wins.
The point spread is set and changes to balance out the amount of $$ bet on each team.
On football bets, you bet $110 to win 100.

So, Vegas would love say $1,100,000 bet on each team. Total cash in = $2,200,000. No matter which teams wins, the payout is $2,100,000. (return bet of $1,100,000 and win of $1,000,000.) Profit to bookmaker is $100,000. A guaranteed profit of slightly under 5%.

Glad the Giants won.

Could you believe it, Belichick leaving the field before the game officially ended?

He left to get the mud off his face...PA had a historic run, but MAN what were the odds they were going to lose! This was a great frickin' game!

Any comment on the commercials??

Super Bowl commercials

<< Any comment on the commercials??>>

The E-Trade baby commercials were the best of the lot, especially the one where the kid burps up at the end...

Re: are you sure that was a burp???..........

Back in the day when I had kids that young, we'd call it a "burp up" or a "spit up"...

Regardless, I still think that was the best of the commercials...

I'm actually a Jets fan, but tonight everyone in NY/NJ is a Giants fan. I've been watching these games since Super Bowl III, and they rarely live up to the hype. This one was different - incredible game, right down to the final seconds (and thank you, Bill Belichick, for showing the world how little class you have - what coach walks off the field before the game is officially over??).

To the Patriot fans - it wasn't a perfect season, but 18-1 is still a helluva run... It will be a long time before anyone matches that...

I couldn't bear to watch the last few seconds but the Giants did what no one else could do. They neutralized Brady .
For all the NE fans I apologize if Grumpy was really that ungracious. His dad whould be mortified.

yeah Giants!

I'm in Michigan but I'm all for the NFC division, and happy the Giants Won. They came back from a bad season start. Can you believe they were actually thinking of getting rid of Eli and now the fella has a super bowl ring and MVP! Go Manning!

Woe is me...

The meatballs, homemade bean dip and chili verde were good.

I had no dog in the fight either. But the Pats were doing what the smart money said... winning but not by a landslide.

The light show was kinda cool and it was obvious that there'd be no wardrobe malfunction.

Ho hum...

Time for a long winter's nap.

Dumb dumb dumb
