I really don't understand
Why are people working for some of these no-name companies and then complaining about no pay or filing with collection agencies. Wouldn't it be worth it just to stick to the good guys. Yes some of them don't pay much , but they pay. Just to clarify, I do not take $40 signings, but do take some low balls with a good rep and after negotiation. Personally I won't take anything without having had a long term relationship or good recomindations Am I losing some work? Yes! Am I losing money to deadbeats? NO

First of all the company that hasn't paid me yet was recommend by someone that was receiving a lot of work from them and had been for quite a while. She actually gave them me contact info because she couldn't handle all of the work she was receiving. Also, she wasn't having a problem of getting paid at the time. Now it appears that they are having a cash flow problem & not getting their notaries paid. Sorry, but we don't all have a crystal ball or ESP to know when a company is going to go south on us until someone starts posting about non-payments, late payments, etc. Your fortunate that the companies you work for haven't incurred any problems yet. But you really shouldn't rag on other notaries that have been taken on closings by companies that they have been dealing with for years when those companies suddenly quit paying. Hey, at least we are warning people when this does occur.
