Made a rookie mistake

I was waiting for a confirm to come over today, 6 hours later it shows up. The company that called me was Real-One out of Pittsburg, PA. The confirm comes over REO..oh boy there payment history does not look good.

Has there been any improvement since 11/07?

I am waiting to hear back from them, I gave them till 10am to call me or I will cancel out on them. No wonder no one else said yes and I need to travel 30 miles. Should of known better. I can see a regular client sending me that far, but a new client and tons of notaries between me and the city I need to travel too.

They started off fine and paid for 2 closings. Now, I am out money for 4 closings - I sent their information to my collection agency last week.

Why NOT turn the job down...

Just let them know due to their reputation for failure to pay that you are unable to accept the assignment. Why risk it??? I think the fact that you had to wait 6 hrs to get a confirmation should have been a red flag alone, unless it is a company you do normal business with.

I don't give companies intrest free loans for months

So I called and emailed them to take me off this job. Nice to know that bad companies are changing thier names to sucker us in now.
