Notary Leads
Just received an e-mail from Notary Leads - $49.99 to join. Anyone ever heard of them?

Personally, I just don't trust anyone that we have to pay
. . . to join.
To me, that says they already are low on funds, and they don't have enough clients to pay the bills. That's just my opinion. But I have never heard of this exact company.

Re: Yes, I've received business....
Right. The key difference being between paying *directories* that are available for anyone's access or paying an individual company for the priviledge of possibly working just for them and their clients. The former is advertising, which also should be done with careful evaluation. The latter is being a chump, because there's no guarantee you'll even get any business from them and your exposure from that investment is extremely limited. That same $$ wisely invested elsewhere is much more likely to bring a return.

The Yellow Pages DIRECTORY charges to be listed if you take out an ad. Does that mean they are low on funds and cannot pay their bills?

ATT automatically adds youy business info to their phone book when you sign up for phone services....someone told me the other day that my business was listed (and how they got my number) from a book published this year....and I totally forgot...

Wouldn't that be for landline service? And then it would probably be the basics, like just name and number (my guess). My business phone is my cell phone which is Sprint and my landline service is Verizon.

Peeps! Listen up...if you want leads, send me $49.99 and I'll send you all kinds of leads.
Who knows the quantity or quality...nothing guaranteed...but I dare say I could come up with leads all day long for $49.99 a pop.
