anybody do auto loan signings where.........

you have to do a visual exterior inspection of the vehicle and if it looks ok you give the borrower the check? I have one for a truck driver that I'm doing tomorrow. I've never done one these that's why I'm posting. The loan "package" is a 9 page contract. I'm to visually inpect the semi-truck and if "it has all the tires and it looks like it runs" I'm to hand the borrower a check. We're supposed to meet anywhere on the road. Pays good for no e-docs (have to overnight docs and check) and a couple of signatures. Anyone?

I did one about 6 months ago and got paid ($75).

People are borrowing against the equity in their cars. My guy had 3 cars I had to look at. I don't think I was there more than 20 minutes.

No notary work involved. I need to call them. Thanks for reminding me.

I had one of these about 2 years ago. I'd never done one b4 so wasn't sure what to quote for my fee so just asked for my standard - 1 pkg fee. Met the BO at a nearby Starbucks. The guy was borrowing against his vehicle equity at a rate of something crazy like 27%. (This would explain why we don't see a lot of these) Anyway, it was a cinch. 10 minute job to simply inspect the exterior of the vehicle and start it up. Paid without a hitch. Consider it a gift and Good Luck.

Other easy jobs I got - a man selling off his structured settlement (annuity contract..) It was less than 20 pages - came FedEx.. another company called me because they just wanted a Notary to go to an apt building and take Digital Photos to show the bldg was THERE, I guess for a loan.. I like quick n easy deals like those.. always pay quick too..
