notary/vs. signing agent
I am already and have been a notary for over 10 years... how do I become a mobile signing agent and can anyone explain what I need to do to complete fingerprinting? I also have no idea what fees would be competitive or reasonable in our area. If anyone cares to advise or give opinions, I would appreacite!

There is a wonderful button here called "SEARCH". Type in everything that you have a question about in the Keyword section and read, read, read. Good Luck.

Simple advice: Don't try to become a Notary Signing Agent ..
... in the current market. You'll be trying to compete with people who have been in the profession for years++ and have already-established connections.
Signing services are dropping like flies. Some title companies are also going out of business. Many NSAs are being stiffed.
Keep your day job.

Also, click on the "Find a Notary" tab
and do a search for notaries within 20-30 miles of your zip code - find out how many notaries there are in your area that are listed on this site alone - might give you an idea of your market saturation.

As you may have concluded from the other messages, there's another question I recommend you answer for yourself first (after careful research) before worrying about the questions you posed. That is: "SHOULD I become a mobile signing agent?" As Ernest_CT said, this is a *very* tough time to try to break into this market. Unfortunately, there are still some less than reputable organizations (imho) still advertising an "urgent need" for signing agents. The real urgent need is theirs, to fill the seats in their classes and to sell their materials. Proceed with caution or you may end up wasting lots of time and $$...
