Bancserv
Are they giving a pretty good volume of work with their Reverse Mortgages? I've never done a refi or HE with them. They wouldn't accept my CBS Background check and I was not going to pay another $54.00 to them for another one.
Am I losing work by not complying with thier CBC?

They have signed on with Countrywide to do a ton of RESPA signings for reverse mortgages.
Not sure where it's headed now with BofA involved

In CA, the SOS requires a background check and it takes 6 - 8 weeks. Plus we have to be fully fingerprinted. Bancserv wouldn't accept that either. From what I hear, CA has some of the most strict requirements to become a Notary.
I also told them I wasn't paying $54 when the CA SOS already did a thorough job. They then put on my file that I was not *willing* to do a background check *at this time*. I believe they are in cahoots with this background company they are peddling.
If I remember correctly, they pay $50 base and $75 for edocs.

They are, generally, low payers. Sometime they will meet my fee.....but I can tell you that I am not doing a RM for $60.00- that is for sure. I work for them, once in while, when it is really- really close by and it is overnight. That is it- not profitable any other way.

I have not done any Rev with Bancserve, but on Refi, they have always meet my need. Sometimes they do give the round around I have to get back to you, and they usually do. They are prompt with payment. Never had any issues wit them.

My experience has been repeated requests for my personal information (signup) every couple of months even though I had compled several times. Also refusal to put the agreed on fee on the confirmation and consistantly shorting my check $25. When called about the later I got the "we pay$xx". When they call I am polite but turn them down

I'm done lots of diff. ones for them. They pay pretty good and prompt. I don't like that they won't put the fee on the confirmation, but if you notice at the bottom you fill out the tracking #, etc. and I always add the agreed upon fee on there and I have never been shorted.
