The CFO is also a closing agnet in FL Sylvia. I looked her up in my database and sher has done some closing for me before. I would say that this is another start up Co. And yes, why do they need a photo of me. I am kinda ugly anyways.

Copy of Seal???

As a Florida notary and a Florida based company (even though this company is not listed with the state - not even a fictitious name filing), they should know that a Notary is not authorized to provide their seal on anything except documents requiring a notarization.

"The notary law requires that a notary seal must be affixed to all notarized documents. §117.05(3)(a), Fla. Stat. The law does not authorize any other use of the notary seal."

(Fl Governor's Reference Manual for Notaries, 2001, pg. 50)

I love they require a copy of Drivers License - for identification purposes only!
Hmm I send them a copy of a drivers license, how do they know that it is me? I am not standing in front of Michael so he has no way of identifying me.

not JUST a copy of your driver license ... at the end of the application packet (just before the W-9) they tell you to attach proof of automobile insurance ... so they want your car information also!

What records would we be keeping that you would want access

to for review? Why do you need a picture? Under appearance you have "alcohol & hazard free," I understand the alcohol, but what do you mean by "hazard free"?

She has now deleted all of her responses and has not answered questions regarding the legitimacy of the the company called CloserZ. Michael C. Thornton claims to be CEO (according to CloserZ independent contractors agreement) however, I was unable to find a fictitious name filing, articles of incorporation or even a local business license for the company named CloserZ.

This thread should be read by every wanabee SS out there as a lesson on how NOT to start a SS.
