FEE FOR SOME SIGNING COMPANIES
Does anyone know WHY some signing companies charge notaries to join their network? Has anyone paid and do you get more business?

They charge 'cause its free money
I've never heard of anyone getting more work as a result and if they need you they call anyway. It was accidentally discovered that there are some people who are so deperate to be in the notary signing busness that they were willing to pay to get listed in the hope of actually being called and then a few other SS got on board. Not a trend by any means but a nice extra cash stream.

Yep! Everything is about a dollar! Don't get suckered into
an SS deal at all. When they give you a job, plaster your name and phone number on the package and tell the TC to call YOU next time.

Yep! Do that enough and soon you'll be tinkying with the fry machine at McDonalds. Very unethical advice.

What part of "I don't work for SS's do you not
understand? How many ways can I say it? I'd rather go to the dentist! You want to work for $50, and maybe get paid, maybe not, go for it.
Good morning.

Re: What part of "I don't work for SS's do you not
I do not work for SS, but I have in the past, and I have not directly solicited their clients because it is bad business. It is just like the NSA in my town that undercuts me when I have been unavailable and have referred her. What I suggest you do instead, is join or form an NSA network in your state, learn how to Google, and make marketing title companies your prime focus. Works for me!
