Greatful

Thank all of you that are assisting me in finding information and truning me to the NNA for a look at maybe taking a singing agent course with them. As soon as I get my tax money I'm going to do the home study course for singing agent I believe that it will help me in the long run. I think that any course for that matter will help. Thanks again

Singing vs Signing Course

Looks as if everyone is in a playful mood this morning....
The NNA would be a good place to take a singing course, you would be singing the blues afterwards.

A better idea is to order the book called the Signing Registry. It is better than anything else out there in my opinion. I took a signing course on the day I took my notary course. It was more of a course on the instructor and a sales pitch on her list of signing services. We did learn a few forms from a loan package but not enough to do well at the table. I learned on my first few signings that I needed to know more and ordered the SR book. It is great!

IMHO...an even better idea

is to read this board extensively...read what's going on in this market - you may be putting good money out for nothing considering the condition of the market now - work is down for just about everyone - oh sure, the NNA is going to tell you that you can make a six-figure income at being a Signing Agent, but that's not quite the truth of the business right now.

Also, you STILL need to polish up your spelling and grammar before ANYONE is going to take you seriously...invest your tax money there - it will pay you back tenfold.

Good Luck in whatever you do!!

Yes! he has updated his profile which is still fraught with errors. But I think we have been the proofreaders of his profile long enough. He needs to take an English course and correct his errors.

Hint: use orange search key and enter NNA before you

throw your money away. When you are finished reading that, please go to these message #'s 33325, 120985, 188799 and read those threads, they will do you far more good than your previously mentioned course of action.

Brian, this isn't meant to make fun of you, but the word you want here is "grateful". You need to either start using a spell checker or find someone willing to edit what you write, especially when it comes to dealing with potential clients. Not that we don't all make mistakes and typos from time to time, but the stuff we send to our potential clients has to be perfect - we can't guess at how to spell a word.

Ignore the jokes here about "singing" vs. "signing" - just about everyone here has made that typo at least once, so it's kind of silly that they should be calling you out for it.

Your profile is getting better, but it still needs some work - don't take the criticisms personally, but try to act on the stuff that people bring to your attention.

As far as taking a course is concerned - forget the NNA, and buy the Signing Registry manual (it's available here in "Notary Supplies"Wink. You'll save money and learn a lot more than the NNA will ever teach you. I know this because I did both, so I know where my money was wasted and where it was better spent.

Whatever you finally decide to do - good luck...
