Magicjack - has anyone subscribed to
this service? You can look it up under Magicjack. I just heard about this yesterday from someone in my area who has signed up with them. This service is supposed to eliminate your regular phone bills.

I have had it for 2 months or so.
Occasionally it will give you that echo effect that voip does. For the most part I'm happy with it, but I wonder @ $40.00 a year how good their business plan is.

VOIP: Plusses and Minuses...
We had VOIP on 15 lines or so. It can be useful, but be careful! We found the service repair response time to be poor.
Also, when your Internet goes down, you lose phone service.
You are not listed in the phone directory if you only have a VOIP line.
As a second, third or fourth phone line, okay, but not for a primary phone line. You need reliability and availability to succeed.

VOIP
I've have VOIP service for more than 5 years, both Vonage and Lingo. (Lingo is better, and cheaper, IMHO)
I've only lost connection due to storms/rain *maybe* 6 times in all those years, and have my VOIP set to forward to my cell phone automatically in the event of internet instability, so I haven't missed a call yet.
P/M me for more info, if you'd like.
