OT: Bruce is coming home
Doctors are allowing him to leave the hospital and come home today. Apparently he also had a mild heart attack I just hope when he comes home he rests and doesn't decide to go to work the rest of the week.

What a fella needs at home...
is a good home cooked meal... maybe Chicken Fried Steak, fried taters, gravy and a big ol piece of apple pie.
Glad to hear he's home again... here's to a healthier '08

Re: What a fella needs at home...
Hmm how does one mention Chicken Fried Steak, fried taters and apple pie in the same message as wishing a healthier 08?? LOL
Unfortunately if he wants a good home cooked meal - or even a bad home cooked meal, he has to do it himself.

I see it may snow in Daytona Beach today.
Have him put on his mittens and go sledding. Nothing better than having the snow hit your face while sledding, that should perk big guy up.

Yikes! Is right.
I remember snow falling just once since I've been here in Vero Beach and that had to be about 12 years ago. I turned the heat on today...the first time since November 2006 and I still can't seem to warm up. I have a closing today and can't figure out what to wear. I just don't have any warm business attire. Chico's travelers and leather mules will just have to do. It's 11:58 and currently 49 degrees. Call me a whimp, but I just can't stand it when the temperature drops below 70.

Re: Click your heels 3 times and wish for a blizzard,
Be careful on what you ask for, you just might get it. In Cancun, I asked a bartender if he knew how to make hurricane (the drink), 2 days later we're in a shelter with Hurricane Wilma sitting on top of us for 3 days.

I'm glad he's coming home, Sylvia. Did the Doc send him home with a Rx for Chantix? I hear it's working wonders for many.

That's a wonderful way to start the New Year, Sylvia
Bruce coming home, I mean (not the heart attack). You need to be seriously forceful with him about that work business...no, no, no, and no! Someone will get the work done, and it doesn't have to be him, not if he wants to stay on this good green (and sometimes white) earth a while longer.
