Precision Closings
I have sent several emails and left several messages with no communication whatsoever. If they are in bankruptcy what is the next step I take? The amount i'm owed isn't worth me hiring an attorney over but if I can do the legwork etc it would be worth it to me. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Check the Bankruptcy court and see if the company has filed, you can do it online in most states. If they have, you can't even send the company a bill, hiring an attorney would just be throwing your money away. Also, they will list you as a creditor and send you all kinds of notices.

Re: Precision Closings-you can't do anything
and the low lifes know it. Just like Keith Dean of (United Notaries) now Dean Notaries (listed on this site as a premier member) Stephanie Hoagland knows that we can do nothing short of knocking on her door at 2228 Arts Ave. Brea,Ca. Even then, she would slam the door in your face. This low life lives in a $495,000.00 dollar house (see white pages.com) and she is cheating many of us out of hard earned money. Her vice president Jason Heidelmaier lives in a $500,000.00 house partly paid for with our work. The only consolation is what goes around comes around. If I sound discusted it is because I am disappointed that there are so many people that won't take responsibility for there actions.

In Brea that amount will get you a perfectly nice tract home, but not much more. And she might hve bought it 10 years ago when it was a $180,000 house.
Not that that excuses them from being crooks, but trust me, in this area that's not a fancy house by any means.

I was going to say the same thing. $500,000 doesn't buy you that nice of a home in CA it would be the same as a $150,000 home here in NC.

Area Housing Prices
Moderate neighborhoods around here run from $150,000 to $300,000. Was in a home last night doing a refi for $1,760,000. It was some place!

I just heard from a colleague and they file bankruptcy on the 29th of December.

Guess that is why they want to contract notaries for $40. My goodness! With gas prices and the extra cost of paperm cartridges, etc undercutting fees from an already rediculous minimum fee of $50 seems absurd! After commuting, printing (in some cases) and post closing faxes (all factoring into the hours worked for the fee we as notaries make virtually nothing!
Anyone have opinions on this with Precision or other companies? As my husband would say; Do tell.
