Southeast Equity

This was the response I received when I asked if yesterday's postings about them closing were true:

"No. Southeast Equity is still open. The owner is retiring and we are finishing up the files in our pipeline. Heather has her own company and all the new files will be transferred to that company."

I also spoke with Dave Hayes at SE Equity, the existing client base will continue to use the new company, so those that close a lot for SE Equity will continue to close for them.

I received a email from American Research & Notary Services (ARNS) located in Mount Dora Florida. The email was from Sherry saying how sorry they (Southeast Equity Title) are closing their doors and our invoices will be paid. It may take time. Wonder if it is a stall tactic? I'm calling Southeast in alittle bit to confirm. Sorry if it isn't true. I'm afraid this may happen more and more, putting the payments off and blame someone else and thus the chase begins......

I talked to Sherry and she is getting the run around from Southeast. I hope she will call and get the real story because they told her they are closing their doors and I believe her. Now is Southeast telling the truth? Time will tell.

I talked with Dave Hayes who is a close personal friend for many years. He works at
the corporate office in Greenville, Ohio. He told me the same as said above.
Chris announced his retirement, they laid off some staff, but are still open and closing out their book of business.

Current clients of SE Title will end up moving their orders to Heather/Dave's new title company and they expect to use the same closers/closing companies that you have dealt with at SE title.

All invoices are being paid from SE Title, if you were hired thru a Signing service then you need to follow up with them, as they will be paid.

I've only closed 1 for them and had such a horrible time getting paid. I feel for the rest of you though and I hope they come through for you. I also hope that they stay in business for all of your sakes. My 1 experience with them was enough for me.

I spoke with their home office this morning. They stated that the company is not closing BUT, their Pennsylvania office did close. I was sorry to hear that because I did a lot of work for them and Tracey was wonderful.

I have an outstanding invoice for a closing on 6/21/2007 and can't get them to pay me. I spoke to Marlene in accounting on 12/27/2007 and she said a check would go out on 12/28 - it hasn't come. I left a message on 1/10 for Joel Allread, to whom invoices were faxed - no response.

I called again yesterday after receiving the message from Sherry at Am. Signing Connection (who hasn't paid me for four non-SE Equity closings). I was told that they are not closing, but, that the owner was retiring. I left a message with accounting again about my fee, but haven't received a response.

I've called Joel, left countless messages, faxed and emailed my invoice several times. No response. He never answers his phone either. My signing was from 11/10.
