Titleworks Holbrook, NY
I am skeptical. The phone number to this company comes up on my caller ID as Nationwide Court Services. I have also rec'd calls from this phone number when they have told me they are the Law Office of Peter Puleo. Now they are telling me they are Titleworks. The address is the same as well for all 3. Does anyone have any info on this? I spoke with the borrower and this is a reverse mortgage, which I wasn't even told! But, that doesn't bother me as much as the 2 different names I've been given from the same phone number over the years. Both Nationwide Court and Puleo's office have always paid me.

I've done work for Peter Puleo - he used to be affiliated with Equity Settlements in Smithtown, and the office was close enough that I could hand-deliver the documents after the signing. The first couple of assignments were paid timely; the last took 90+ days, numerous phone calls and emails, and a threat of legal action in order to get paid. I have not heard from his office since then.
The deal with Equity Settlements apparently was that there was a central location to produce the documents and handle post-closing, with a number of lawyers involved who weren't actually at that location. Depending on what number I called, I'd get the same person answering either "Equity Settlements" or "Law Offices of Peter Puleo" - that may be the same way it works now that he's affiliated with Titleworks.
That's my experience; guide yourself accordingly...

I grew up in Holbrook. If you give me they address I can drive by there tomorrow. I'll let you know what the office door says. I live 5 minutes away and I haven't heard of them.

We are not a "signing company" per se. As a matter of fact we are predominately a title company and have also been handling settlements in NY, NJ, FL, PA and more. We have many business joint ventures and Titleworks Agency happens to one of the many names.
I assure to my notaries that they will get paid in a timely manner (usually upon funding).
