Urgent question about new acknowledgment (CA)

Hello All and Happy New Year,

I know I haven't posted in a while, but I have been doing notarizations for my work. The scenario is this:

We use a merge document with the Acknowledgment embedded in the document, the sql command used, can allow the end user to specify the his/her and is/are on the form and to eliminate the need to have (ies) for capacities. Is this extraneous language necessary in the acknowledgment and if it is eliminated, is it illegal to not have it there?

We have a question of style versus what is the law.

NO, it is not illegal to not have the extra "(ies) or (s)" there.
