I cannot understand why someone who claims to own a business can't answer a few simple questions about their business - like why they are not registered with Florida state. She told me that obviously I don't work for large companies or I would know that it is standard practice to get a photo of the signing agent, copy of their seal etc. She claims she owns the company, then says that Michael (who is her husband) pays her.
:shaking my head:

I looked around on their website. They claim they sell title insurance and homeowners insurance. Don't know how they would do that not being licensed to sell insurance. Neither their company nor Michael are licensed by the insurance department down there. Also, no where on the website to request the insurance. Just places to request a signer.

You are correct they do not have a license to sell insurance in Florida. They are not even registered as a business.
When I opened my business account for my signing service I had to prove I was legitimate. The bank checked with the Division of Corporations and also with the county. So, I am wondering how they are going to pay their signing agents - with a personal check????

I wasn't sure if she removed them, if the board
administrator removed them, or if her husband got wind of what was going on and hit her off switch..)

I didn't do anything - that was all you guys and your research...good work btw....
Glad for your sake that they took the photos down...did that website, with all those photos, strike anyone more as a MySpace page as opposed to a professional business website??

Just what I was thinking, Linda
There were only a few pics that could be considered business oriented.
Considering the previous request for pictures from notaries in order to register with them, I was expecting to see a gallery of notary pictures.

it now. "Nope I don't like the squint in that notaries eye, she looks mean, he doesn't look too bright, oh I'll take that one over there, number 7, yeah I like the looks of him!"

Looking at Michaels picture on the website I wouldn't want to do business with him.

Re: They took my photos down on the website
I didn't do anything and my intention was not to "help." All I wanted to know was WHY they were not a legit business and why we should want to do business with them if they had all of our info and we had none of theirs. A very important question in my mind.

Re: I have not been on... but what site and what post? tia!
There was a post from a company called CloserZ asking for Florida notaries to signup. I personally know of this owner and its not good. The company is not a registered business in Florida. He stated they are also a title company. Still no registration for a title company, no business license of anykind. He only became a notary in late 2005. He attended one of my notary network meetings that I organized. He took pictures of me conducting a notary network meeting and did not get permission to post the photos on his website. I did not want to be affiliated with this man. There were posts on another website and the posts were taken down and an apology posted. You can PM if you want anymore information.

Says Michael can offer a lot of help to notaries and the industry. Michael does not have the experience either as a signing agent or as a notary to offer any training.
