I upgraded to premier to have more so called advantages. I'm not sure if there is any benefit to having upgraded. I put in multiple zip codes to search for my name and it shows the same over and over again. My first thought is that maybe since i'm logged in I won't see my own listing. Also, the don't shuffle the listings at all. The same listings appear as the first 25 and no way to go to next page. Basic members show first 25 as well. That is why i'm confused as to the benefits of being a premier member. Shed some light on this for me if i'm wrong.

Sounds like another money scheme. It sounds like you should call the company to the carpet and let them know you paid to upgrade and want to see the results ASAP.

Something has happened to the locate a notary search. I am currently the only notary in my zip code. When I put in my zip code, 9 notaries appear from another city before me. How can that be? This has not been the case in the past. I have stopped getting calls from this site. This is a key factor in my decision to renew my premier memberships. All my memberships are up for renewal in March. I got tons of calls this past week and I asked everyone where they got my name.

I have already contacted Harry and I got a reply about geo coding, etc. There have always been only about 3 notaries in my city and zip code. The other two did not renew their membership, now I am the only one. You would think that when you do a search for my zip code I would be the first to show up. That is not the case, 9 other notaries show up from a city 20 miles away from me.

I think you got caught in a USPS black hole...

Your address is Atlantic Beach, but the USPS says your zip code is Jacksonville - and the geocoding measures your distance from the Jacksonville PO. I'm not sure there's much Harry or anyone else can do about it, because the USPS hasn't given Atlantic Beach its own zip code.

We have a similar situation here; there's an area just north of me called Dix Hills that doesn't exist according to the USPS. Everyone in the area knows what and where Dix Hills is, and there are signs indicating the boundaries, but it doesn't have a post office so as far as the USPS is concerned it isn't there; the addresses are split between two other zip codes.

I have been a Premier Member since 2004 and this has only happened in the last couple of months. Why did it change after all these years? I always checked my placement all the time and I have always been 1st when doing a search of my zipcode.

I have a post office within 2 miles of me. And it's the Atlantic Beach Post Office. You are right, the nearest Jacksonville Post Office is 20 miles away. There has to have been an update in the geo coding in the last couple of months to make this change.

I'm not sure why or when this happened, but if you check on:

http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/citytown.jsp

you'll see that Atlantic Beach is no longer an acceptable destination as far as the USPS is concerned - they think you live in Jacksonville now...

Wow that is weird. I alos put in Jacksonville Beach, FL which is 32250 and it said the same thing and then I put in Neptune Beach, FL 32266 and it has its own zip code. This is a tiny town between Atlantic Beach and Jacksonville Beach. I also live near Mayport, FL and it says the same thing (Use Jacksonville, FL) I quess you are right, I have fallen in the USPS blackhole.

I put in my next door neighbors address for a search and had 5 people come up ahead of me on the listing and it said I was 6 miles away. Something is way off base.

I upgraded because another long time member said there were advantages to it. I think everyone having this zip search problem needs to contact Harry. I am in 33015 and I don't show at all. Maybe he's got something in the works. I hope anyhow. I may call the bank and contest the charges for now. I only upgraded on Saturday. Lets hope it's something that is being worked on.

Thanks for the reminder

I had forgotten to renew my premier membership (may be the reason I've not been getting too many calls lately -- ANOTHER blond moment), so thanks for the reminder to check and upgrade. However, as soon as I checked the box and click the button, I went back to "Find a Notary" and I was back up in the premier spot.

I had such a blond moment. I had my profile hidden. The board admin's e-mailed and asked if I had that checked and WALA, i am listed after all. So for those of you who don't see your listings, it is by default that it is hidden. Go under profile and uncheck hidden and you will appear. So simple I feel stupid. They were very quick to answer this morning.
