other jobs
Do any of you have other part time jobs? I have been picking up forecloser sales and so far this month I have had more sales than notary jobs. At least the bills are getting paid.

How do you get into that? That is, if you don't mind sharing.

Nancy, I'm curious, too. How do you get started?

One more thing, get yourself a good liability policy,
if you mess up and don't bid exactly the way you are intructed the attorney's will be coming after you to cough up the money. If something happens and you miss the sale the attorney's will charge you for all the costs in rescheduling the sales (publication of notices, etc.).

Re: One more thing, get yourself a good liability policy,
most of the bids I have received are in email form and all you have to do is read. But for some people that could be a problem. Some times some people like to act or pretend they know what everyone else doesn't.

Re: One more thing, get yourself a good liability policy,
A friend once took her instructions for granted, always before she had been instructed to bid in $1000 increments until she reached the judgement total with this particular firm. On this particular property they told her to increase in $100 increments, they charged her the difference between the last bid and her bid on the property when the bidding stopped before full judgement. It cost her $800 for that mistake. And it cost someone else $575 for missing a sale and the law firm had to republish & file for a new date. Just another warning for those that want to jump in with both feet before doing any research about what they are getting into. Does this sound familar newbies!
