services in Virginia
Where do you sign up for services in Virginia?
| Reply by Sylvia_FL on 1/21/08 1:53pm Msg #231655
Depends on what services you want to sign up for?
Meals on Wheels? Visiting Nurse???
Or you could volunteer your services.

that would be a question of someone not into researching their chosen field before jumping into it. No offense intended.

Actually, you need to read the response from your 1st. post
below that LKT/CA wrote to you. Use "orange" search key & look up message #120985 & #33325. If you are still confused after that then please sign up for a on-hands training class that may be offered near your location. Most on this board discuss problems encountered in the business daily. It is your own responsibility & obligation to devise & implement a business plan. Please do your own research instead of asking other to perform the task for you. If you consider my response "rough," sorry.

I'll say it if nobody else will
Obviously this is a person who is going to fail as a loan signing agent since she appears incapable of doing any research on her own. You can't run your own business if you can't take even the slightest bit of initiative and need your hand held every step of the way.
Teresa, cut your losses now, you'll save yourself a lot of time and frustration.

"Teresa"
d'oh. That's what I get for not going back and checking the name. Oh well, maybe Terri is short for Teresa.

I hate to say it
At this point, I think most of us can tell from the very first day those who really don't have a chance.

Your answer was not rough at all, considering Terri was already advised and pointed in the right direction. Now he/she is asking again the same sort of question (vaguely) and using a different alias. If he/she is not willing to do the reading, then too bad.
I do like Sylvia's answer :-) Such a vague question warrants that response.

What a huge shock
A nice big warm welcome to the board and politely pointing the person in the direction of all the answers they need doesn't accomplish jack sh!t.
Now maybe you understand a bit more why so many people on this board give the responses they do to these types of questions. Our way gives them a sorely needed reality check, your way just leads to more lazy begging for info.

<<<A nice big warm welcome to the board and politely pointing the person in the direction of all the answers they need doesn't accomplish jack sh!t.>>>
Yes, it DID accomplish jack sh!t because for every person brave enough to ask the question, 10, 20 maybe even 50 other people reading want the answer to it but are afraid to ask that same question for fear of the derision and rancor they'd receive from the likes of you and others.

So freakin' what!!! Let em' ask 50 times, and 50 times answer like a broken record (orange search button to msg 33325. Lighten the f**k up, CaliNotary!!

LKT/CA: You are beyond rude with this response! I, and many
others I'm sure, hereby appoint and convey, upon you, in all exclusive and all inclusive reason, to be the official "welcome to NotRot committee of one." This designation gives you all rights to answer all questions from all troubled souls who have not done the first bit of due diligence about a possible chosen career path, that get taken and fleeced by sales jobs promising them big profits to go with a big new, improved, exciting career upon which they will embark with great ease by being sent to a professional site for further mentoring and training.
I, for one, am angered by your response to one who is truthful in their answers, and because you don't like the answer, it is not what you wish it to be, you decide that you can do better. So do it, and don't admonish others in the process. You have heard of the first amendment haven't you? So freely speak, but don't use the f- word to illuminate your true character...we have already figured that out, you brat!

Re: LKT/CA: You are beyond rude with this response! I, and many
<<<I, for one, am angered by your response to one who is truthful in their answers, and because you don't like the answer,....>>>
My answer was truthful too. Again, for every one person brave enough to ask the question, there are at least 10 or more that are looking for the answer but are afraid to ask. So instead of 30 people asking the same beginner question, one brave person will ask and the other 30 will follow the directions and get the info they are seeking.
JBA, I for one, am annoyed by the way some respond to newbies, mainly because it doesn't do jack for the clueless person looking to get a clue. I put your friend in his place and you are angered...and speak on his/her behalf. I am angered by how newbies are answered and speak on THEIR behalf, yet that's wrong.
<<<I'm sure, hereby appoint and convey, upon you, in all exclusive and all inclusive reason, to be the official "welcome to NotRot committee of one...>>>
If I'm on the forum, I'll answer, if not, please feel free to just ignore the newbie question and when I come on, I'll answer. I can cut and paste the same answer over and over and over. So if the same new person keeps asking the same question over and over and changing alias', I can cut and paste the same answer over and over. When they see they aren't getting a different answer, they'll get tired of asking.
<<<.......that get taken and fleeced by sales jobs promising them big profits to go with a big new, improved, exciting career upon which they will embark with great ease by being sent to a professional site for further mentoring and training.>>>
Many keep making that assumption. That is not everyone's reality. I waited six months before even moving forward on becoming a Notary and no time before, during or after my commission did I hear anything about quick riches and big bucks. What I did hear was that there was money to be made in loan signing, in addition to regular Notary work. My loan signing class was LIVE and 8 hours long. And I never heard of the NNA, until after I was commissioned so this notion that NNA is deluding everyone with promises of wealth, again, while that is true for some, it is not for others.
<<<You have heard of the first amendment haven't you? So freely speak, but don't use the f- word to illuminate your true character...>>>
When you admonish others and tell them not to use the S- word or whatever other profane words they use to illuminate their true character, I will follow suit. Don't be hypocritical. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. I speak to people in the tone and attitude by which they speak to me.
<<<...we have already figured that out,>>>>
WE ?!?! Do you have a mouse in your pocket? Who are you speaking for? I speak on BEHALF of others, you speak FOR them. Let them speak FOR themselves.
<<<....you brat!>>>
<Sigh> When you personally attack, nothing you say is taken seriously.
