It seems like it would be obvious when a keyboard is going bad.
I have a relatively new computer with adequate+ resources.
It was getting SLOW.
My keyboard was the problem. It stopped typing this morning. I replaced it. The computer is fast as every.
The typing response wasn't the problem I noticed at first. It had overall slow performance. I finally figured out the keyboard was bad when I couldn't see the cap-lock light going off/on in response to the cap-lock key.
Just thought I'd share that probably useless bit of computer trivia.

Business Week magazine had a short feature that suggested everyone quit eating lunch at his/her desk because so much food was getting trapped in the keyboard.
I just looked at my keyboard and it could use a "bath." Yuck!

Thanks
I will tuck this experience in the back of my mind, and hope I can remember it the next time I struggle with a slow machine. I always have a spare keyboard lying about to try.
