Bankruptcy

Any way some one can find out if a company has filed bankruptcy?

It is a Federal thing, so you start with identifying the district in which they reside and then inquire. If someone tells you they are filing BK, then ask for their Case number, which will give that info. If they are not speaking to anyone (no phones, etc.) then you will have to make the inquiry. If they are filing, you should be receiving something in the mail, otherwise they would not be discharging their debt to you.

Gov't Website

I believe this Gov't Website requires you to pay a fee.

Try searching here about this

I believe it was discussed some time ago - there is an 800 number to check on bankruptcy filings and I think someone posted the number in the thread...you'll have to search past posts for it

A small hint - if I read it then it was posted within the last two years...<G>

Linda, I couldn't find a phone number, but found another Gov't website.
