Doc Pros
I know some have said they had problem-here is my experience with them. I sent an email and asked for my check @ 30 days. I got a return email saying they would send it right away. And I got it yesterday. I have never had a problem getting paid by this company- Better than most in my book.

You guys think it's acceptable to have to email them before they send your payment?

You are the one that said as a small business owner we should expect to get stiffed some times-If all it takes is a 20 second email to get my dough-bring 'em on...it beats the heck out of sending emails and getting no response and no $$

I'm not saying that you shouldn't try to get the money they owe you. I'm saying that it's unacceptable that they don't send out payment until you remind them to send it. A company that regularly does that is a company that I won't work for in the first place.

I agree with Cali - why should you have to remind them in the first place? A good company shouldn't have to be nudged at all, they should have a regular payment schedule.
Now I'm curious - does this mean that if you DON'T remind them, they'll delay the check even longer?

This seems to be the trend nowadays with some creditors. I get an email from WAMU every month reminding me of my loan payment due in 15 days even though I have automatic transfer for my loan and have never been late. While I agree that a person shouldn't have to send a reminder, if it works for them, go ahead knock your socks off.

Not the same thing at all
WaMu is simply sending a monthly reminder of a scheduled payment. They're not bugging you for a payment that they should have already received.

Yeah, but...
That's a courtesy reminder, sent prior to when a payment is due. You and a million other folks probably get the same thing.
What we're talking about here is a nudge from a vendor to a creditor AFTER payment was due - I think that's a completely different animal.
I agree - if it works, go for it. But I also think that any company that needs to be goosed before they send a check would not be high on my list of "good companies".

I have spoken with them in the last couple of days about this "trend". I have never had to send them reminders before. DocPros is a good company, and this is unusual for them. They promised to get it resolved.

I have been owed money by Doc Pros for nearly 60 days now. Emails are not answered, voicemail is not answered, and faxes are unanswered....I know that they are avoiding me.

I would just call them up and ask. They always answer the phone for me. Then let us know what you find.

I did a job for DocPros on 6/10, just received my payment today on 7/12 (postmarked July 7th). That's 32 days to receive payment and I did NOT contact them regarding status of payment. Hopefully they are back on track now!
