I've just refilled one of my brother HL- printer for the 9th

time. It still has the original drum, I just reset it on every refill. I know Andy recommends HP printers, but I never trusted him since he was recommending them because he was also selling them. I know HP are a superior product but I have no complains with my brother printers.

This cartridge is not the original, the original is in another machine, this with the 9 refills is a compatible one from
superinkjetstore.com I have no idea how many times I will be able to refill this thing. I've just tested it, and it prints just like a brand new(I printed 25 jurats to carry in my bag).

Do you "empty"everytime you refill? You have to. Otherwise your cartridge will be full with "burn" toner. That "burn"toner I can use it again with no problem in my kids printer and it prints real good.

Yes, I do empty out what's left. I've never heard that term "burn toner" before. What happens is the felt type material wears out from that roller constantly rubbing against it. I've been able to replace that material, so I've been using my "starter cartridge" for 2 years now.The refill kits I buy come with new plugs, so no problem there.Save money where you can....

Calnotary: How do you reset the drum?

I get 4 or so refills most times too, but always looking to stretch. TIA

To reset the drum count to another 20K pages you just have the cartridge door open and press the "go" button for like 30 seconds and you are ready for another 20K pages.
