MDA Lending Solutions, Inc.
Has anyone ever worked for MDA Lending Solutions, Inc out of Charlotte, North Carolina. I accepted an assignment for this next week and just received a 36 page application and would like to hear from someone with experience with them. I could not find anything with the search and would appreciate any input. Thanks, Rick

Yikes. I think a 36 page application would tell me all I needed to know about the company.

When they need you, the b.s. dies quickly.

Lee, you are right - BS disappears when need arises
I've seen it happen many times - they forget about all that application paperwork when they have a closing looming and no notary available. At those times, I just hear "just send your W-9 in with your invoice". LOL

Or they go ahead and let you do the signing, then refuse to pay until you complete the application.

**then refuse to pay until you complete the application.**
I have always felt like this was a signing service delay tactic.
They have threatened not to pay me say, "It's our policy not to pay until we receive your contract/application/whatever." I have told them, "It's my policy to be paid for a job done. Based on our agreements prior to the work and the written assignment you go ahead and don't pay me and let's see who is right. You can't renegotiate this."
I've always been paid.

They used to be TransUnion.
They were bought out in Feb. The head of TransUnion is still running the operation. They are trying to grow to be another LSI.

They are trying to grow to be another LSI...you sure?
They may be aspiring to even greater heights... I heard they wanted to be the next National Notary Service with 15,000 notaries in their database and 200 jobs an hour yada yada yada...
Shame on me... I should let sleeping dogs lie, this'll probably start another 3 page propaganda thread.
Couldn't help myself. There's only a couple posters in this world that make me with Jihad Jihari was back NNS is one of 'em.

Thanks All, Your input helped me decide not to fill out all this application which they asked to be sent in PDF but to send my W-9. Thanks for the input.

They want to be another LSI? LSI is laying off left and right, there's another layoff on the 31th.

Obviously in this market even the largest TC's in the
country are laying off. Banks are folding and no longer making mortgages, how could that not affect the TC's that make their money insuring title on loan closings and purchases? When I was an EO in CA, I got hit by the last round of layoffs in 1993, and by another round in 1999 (but they new I was moving to NC in 3 months, so I was the perfect person to layoff). When you work in the mortgage industry, you have to learn to ride the ups and downs, and this down is bigger than the down in 1993/1994 and that was huge!

Just read the application: Standard Notary Fee: $46 and
no where does it state they will pay an email doc fee. They will however, pay the full signing fee if the borrower (during the closing) decides not to close. Whooptedo!
They will also give you $25.00 for a trip fee if the borrower is a no show. And last of all, they want to run their own background screening on you at a cost of $45.00 that they will deduct from your first check. How Magnanimous of them!
The sad part is that they will get takers. This is a prime example of why I am now looking for employment in previous career. Good Luck to those of you that want to stick it out.

Sooooo....
"And last of all, they want to run their own background screening on you at a cost of $45.00 that they will deduct from your first check. How Magnanimous of them!"
You do an e-doc signing for them and your first check is for $1.00 - PROVIDING, I'd wager, there's no random deductions for what they consider "errors".... NSA could, feasibly, owe THEM money to do their first signing!!
