Maverick Signings - Again
This is the company selling a automotive signing course (now discounted to $19) and then offering signings from car dealerships. The only history I can find on these guys here is from August of 2007. Nobody was getting any work from them at that time. Has anything changed? Is anyone having any success with them yet? Just wondering....

well first I would suggest you check to see if CA if is a state that would need this service...Does not matter how much/little you pay if there is no call for it.
Maverick (IMO) has taken a page from xyz how to make $$$ off the backs of notaries

Thanks, I am not sure, but I believe California pink slips must now be notarized with any change of ownership.

You are correct. I have had quite a few requests from buyers and sellers to notarize the change of ownership of vehicles. I do not think you need any formal training beyond the normal notary functions to do this.

Re: I just did one Saturday and one today.
Both were new vehicles, one was a purchase and the other was a lease. The only document needed to be notarized was the Affidavit of Identity sent by Maverick via email. All others were sent by the dealerships. They already highlighted/marked the lines where the clients should sign or initial. It was fairly easy.

Re: I just did one Saturday and one today.
I just did one yesterday for a new car. It was real easy and right in my neighborhood. Only had to notarize the ID affidavit. All pages were highlighted where to sign and stickies where to initial.

I have done a few for Maverick. Their fees are very decent for the amount of work involved. I wil take all they send me. They pay quick too.
