SORRY FOLKS, KEEP HITTING WRONG KEY

I think FASS is now doing Navy work? Does anyone know for sure?
Seems like the part of First American that will be taking over Navy work will not begin for about a year and some other part of Company, I think FASS is doing it.
Shed some light please

Were you already signed up with First American before Navy switched or did they contact you based on Navy recommendation?

I've done lots of work for FASS...this is the first Navy Fed loan they ever sent me though.

Could it be that the application was submitted before Navy

Federal decided to stop doing mortgage loans? Maybe this is the last of them and we won't be seeing any after they clear those all out.
Daughter in law is related to one of the supervisors in that dept. at the Vienna, VA office and she says they have stopped the loans on mortgages. So I suppose I will wait and see and if they are still doing them in a few months then someone didn't get their "stories" straight.

My understanding is they will not be doing ref's, the borrower must find their own closing attorney.
For LOC and equity loans First American now has the contract.

I think there is a lot of confusion on this one. I believe the article said that NFCU stopped handling the settlements, not stopped doing mortgages. I've heard that FASS took over, but I did one last week from another tc. My guess is that , like CW, the account is being bid by many tc's.
