Re: What is it with the name Dan & Ohio?
I have not had a good experience with Ohio companies. Especially with the owner being named Dan ( Nexus) .

If you look in signing central your see he's a problem. Platinum is also part of American Title Solutions in Cleveland Ohio. I had to threaten the title company that I was filing a complaint with the insurance Commissioner if I didn't get paid. Received my check in a week. I wouldn't suggest working for them again. The kicker is American Title Solutions must be a franchise there are offices across the nation. It's a shame one bad egg shadows the other offices. Can we trust any of them?

If you look at the return label, it goes to
Sara McNamara, possibly his wife?
I should have known not to trust a SS who has NO website, NO fax and a Gmail account for correspondence with an AOL account for invoices.
He owes me for June 6. I ended up e-mailing back to him the e-mail I got from American Title with all the Docs attached and asked him if I need to contact THEM for payment. He responded within hours that the check was sent to the wrong notary and they have it back, so he will be sending it to me. This was last Monday. If I don't get anything by week's end, I will drop the boom and let him know that I will be forwarding the issue to all the e-mail addresses on the docs as well as the FBI site. - not to mention all the other notary sites as well.
I'm tired of this shuck & jive garbage.

No. New Millenium is Platinum Signing Service. Different company altogether.

Had a heck of a time getting paid from them. They shorted the check also. Still fighting for that.

Dan McNamara lied to me several times regarding payment. The check was in the mail each time I spoke with him. The closing was done on 6/10. I finally received payment on 7/21. (check was dated 7/9 postmarked 7/18).

On June 24, I was contacted by Dan McNamara from Platinum Closing Services and agreed to handle a closing for them. After getting the documents at the last minutes, and then having to reprint several documents because of errors, I completed the closing and sent the package back to the title company per instructions. I then spoke with him a couple of days later and verified that everything was in order.
Today is August 14, and I have still not been paid. The last time I spoke to him, about two weeks ago he implied he was still waiting for payment. Today, I spoke to the contact listed at the Title Company for the closing, American Title Solutions, and she informed me that McNamara was paid on June 29th, five days after the closing.
I got a new e-mail address for McNamaral, [e-mail address], and sent an e-mail informing him that I would be posting my experience with him here, contacting my attorney, and exploring options with the North Carolina Attorney General to pursue steps to keep him from doing business in North Carolina in the future.
I would suggest avoiding this guy completely. If you were one of the few who received payment in a timely manner, count your blessings and don't take another chance on this person. His business ethics stink.
Oh, I forgot to mention that he is now avoiding my calls and not answering e-mails.
