Pacific Document Service; This is no good*Warning*

I have a return check, that check was shorted 25.00 dollars and now I have bank charges. Take signings from Paul GAms at your own risk. Me? I m not taking no anymore signings from him. First he said he switched bank accounts with BOA, well that check that bounced was from BOA!

I experienced the same situation, but called Paul and he reissued my check and included service fees as well. I think he's a very reputable person. I've done multiple signings for his company and would take the next one as well. Give him a call.

If you experienced the same thing... Why is he OK by you?

He shorted my check, sent me another one and BOTH bounced. Yes, he paid the fees but that doesn't impress me. I will not work for someone that has a history of "accidental" shortages to notaries. I wonder how many people just don't mention the shortage? I know there must be a reason. Work for him after this happened? No thank you

Re: If you experienced the same thing... Why is he OK by you?

It's the latest thing with these signing companies. When I questioned a $25 shortage the signing company accused me of making a big deal over it. When I filed a small claims action against another SS for a $25 shortage they really got upset but they paid me + a $60 filing fee. As for the SS sympathisers on this thread, please spare me the "unprofessional rhetoric."

If I am not mistaken, I think that bouncing checks is a crime. I think I would take the bounced checks to the police department and file a report. Then, I think I would send copies of the bounced checks and a copy of the police report to the city he is located in and see if they will file criminal charges against him. JMO.

Interesting thread. The $25 short check was my experience also. I don't think I have encountered another such pervasive pattern in the 5 1/2 years I've been doing this.

Think how much money they make by shorting

each and every NSA $25.00. You are selling yourself and our profession short by letting SS's get away with this practice!

Re: Think how much money they make by shorting

I did one signing for this company back into 2006. Paul met my fee then asked me about a volume discount, which I obliged of course:

Volume discount divided by 0 signings = $0 in my calculations, lol. (Some people have no sense of humor, but hey he never called me again)

When I received my check it was short. When I called to inquire about the shortage I was told it was an accounting error, and another check was sent for the difference. This is a scam that this company is playing. I am sure there are some notaries out there that just accept what they send and say nothing.
