Pacific Document Services - bounced check

My last check from Pacific Document Services bounced and the account is, of course, seriously past due. This was for work done before checks started bouncing. I sent an email to Paul Gambs. I see his posts indicate the intention to make sure everyone is made whole. I'll let you know if they come through.

Great. I was stupid enough to have Paul talk me into taking a MOD signing last week. I accepted then declined based on reviews here but gave him a chance after speaking w/him & him increasing the offer to me. Only good thing is that it was only a MOD & not an entire loan signing. I'm still holding out hope that he will come through. Its just too bad that you can't trust anyone in this business and YES, I KNOW ITS MY OWN FAULT!!!!

I hope for both our sakes that Paul is in a position to make us whole. He was always one of my favorite people to work with.

I've done a moderate amount of work for Paul Ganz over the years, and I've always been paid promptly and as agreed....I think a lot of SS's are being challenged and upended by the closure of so many title/escrow companies. In my heart of hearts, I know that if Paul has the means to pay his valued notaries, he will do this best to achieve that commitment. Best wishes to all for positive results.

If he has the means?

What happened to his means? He's writing bad checks which is a crime and each person who has received one should prosecute to the fullest extent. When we start letting our feelings take over for what we know in our heart is wrong, we should all just go be HS guidance counselors. They are well known for putting happy faces on everyone and everything.

Hello From Pacific Docuemnt Services

I just wanted to re-iterate to all of the notaries who have worked for us over our 16 year period and for the ones who have just recently began working for us we have indeed gone through a very difficult period over the last 6 months, this market is unlike anything we have ever seen, not only have we had a difficult time collecting money, but we have had several large clients go out of business (Indy Mac and Financial Title). There are many people who read these posts and may never want to work for Pacific Document Services, which is your peragative, for 15 and a half years we were considered one of the best companies to work for and as the president of this company I am informing each and evryone one of our cherished notaries and or attorney's, Pacific Document Services is not going anywhere, our bank is paying all of our checks up to a certain limit, which is very difficult to juggle, but everyone will be taken care of. We have just recently began doing business with a large company doing their modifications, which some of you have already done for us, these along with several other new accouts will help us pull out of this situation. For those of you that have worked for us, my phone is always on and my doors will never be closed!!!!! If any of you need to reach me after hours please call me on 925-575-0496.

Sincerely,

Paul Gambs

I've been trying to get paid on a signing I did 2/15/08. Sent invoices and talked to people that assured me I would get paid. Nothing. Title company was Flagship. Have all documentation. I will not work for you again.

Take back what I said in my posting....

Paul called me and told me that my check from them had cleared and had been deposited. I'm sorry if my bookkeeping didn't find this check. I checked my Quickbooks and deposit books for deposit and didn't find it. I believe him that it was deposited.

Re: Take back what I said in my posting....

Did he send you a copy of the check showing the back w/your signature, bank stamp, date, etc? What made you believe him?

Hmm. Interesting to see what will transpire re checks from Pacific. Did my 1st signing for them last night. It was only a mod and fairly close, but, being a new SA, it sure puts a damper on things to wonder with each new company I work for whether I'll be paid.

"but, being a new SA, it sure puts a damper on things to wonder with each new company I work for whether I'll be paid."

I don't mean for this to sound as rude as it does, but take the hint. This is not a business worth getting into anymore.

You're not rude. Appreciate the honesty. After seeing all the issues SA's have with SSs, etc., on this forum, I'm definitely getting that feeling. Will see how things go.

"You're not rude. " You should frame it, Cali.

I think I love parkerc/ME, an appreciator of honesty, something many could learn from.

I am owed money by Pacific Dox. Someone ask me if this if the same co as Pacific Document.
It is not. The person (s) owning Pacific Dox is Alissa Thomas and another owner named Stephanie something-or-other. I have been waiting since May 3.
Sounds like a good idea NOT to work for either company now.
The "newbies" and $40 notaries need to take notice of this also. If the "old school" people don't get paid, the "newbies" and cheapos won't get paid either.
