Today I tried to redeposit a check that bounced after it was shorted and the bank teller told me that it does not have funds! Come on Paul show some cojones and answer my phone calls/emails. So people if you have a check from this guy, please take it to BOA first to see if has funds or you will end up with bank charges. This is my opinion and experience with this person.

Paul called me back in February asking me to close loans for him. When I brought to his attention that one of my network members had outstanding invoices and a bad check, he assured me it would be taken care of and it was. Paul tried to induce me into lowering my fees on the basis of volume, but agreed to my fees until he could prove volume and a sense of trust as to payment.

Thankfully, he made things right with my fellow member and even paid me w/i a reasonable amount of time for two closings in one week. My check did not bounce, however I have not heard from him since and obviously the volume thing was just a line, but I am glad I was able to assist my fellow member in getting paid.

This company has been bouncing checks since the beginning of this year and that is not a good sign. His excuse to my fellow member...they had changed bank accounts. There seems to be a lot of that going on recently...things that make you go hmmmmmm.

Paul Gams; Pacific Documents,Report this Guy to the FBI

OK - to all you naysayers, here's an email I just received from IC3.
I'll let you know what happens...BTW, this was sent to three of us.

I received all of your IC3 complaints. I spoke with Docuserv today and provided your information to them. They said the problem is they were not paid for the document signings by the Mortgage Companies. They said they would try and resolve this matter with you. Please contact me if you do not hear from them within the next week or two. Contact me with any questions you have.

The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA).

IC3's mission is to serve as a vehicle to receive, develop, and refer criminal complaints regarding the rapidly expanding arena of cyber crime. The IC3 gives the victims of cyber crime a convenient and easy-to-use reporting mechanism that alerts authorities of suspected criminal or civil violations. For law enforcement and regulatory agencies at the federal, state, local and international level, IC3 provides a central referral mechanism for complaints involving Internet related crimes.

so nothing is being done, correct?

I don't know the background here but you apparently reported DocuServ to some type law enforcement agency because of nonpayment. I assume that there is a significant time period from the date of the closing until the date you reported them (not like someone I saw post a day or so ago that was checking with someone and it was less than 30 days). So, you report them, the entity contacts DocuServ who says they will "resolve this matter with you". Okay, alrighty then. They already failed to "resolve this matter with you" by paying you - that was the reason you reported them. So now you wait a little longer and then what, report them again? I can almost guarantee the defense of not being paid will not hold up in court, unless you signed a contract agreeing to those terms.

You're in CA. Is this company in CA? If so, why in the world haven't you taken everyone who benefited from your serviceson this order to small claims and allow the judge to determine who you get a judgment against. Perhaps CA is different, but in PA, small claims is quick and easy. When you are both in the same state, executing on your judgment is almost painless.

Why is this an "Internet related crime?"

Because you got the confirmation and docs by email? Yeah, but. . .

Take it to your state's small claims, that's what it is. You'll get faster results plus can ask for reimbursement of bank fees and court costs.

To each and every notary that has worked for us

Hello, my name is Paul Gambs and I am the president of Pacific Document Services, we have been in business for over 16 years and have worked with many of you on this site during that time, I am never one to make excuses so i will not at this time, we like most of you in this industry have experienced an extremely difficult period and for the first time in our 16 years of service have not only not sent out our checks every 2 weeks, but we have had some checks come back as NSF's. I have decided that we at Pacific Document Services will not shut our doors unlike several of my competitors, we will make it through this very difficult time and will make sure each and every person who has received a NSF check will be rectified along with any fees accrued. I will always be available for any of you via phone or e-mail and can also be reached on my after hours number of 925-575-0496.
Sincerely,
Paul Gambs

Paul has bounced a check to me and sent me another that was

good. I'm not recommending him or PacDoc's in anyway, but do want to point out that he is at least posting with some contact information and trying to make a commitment to pay all that he owes.

This is much better than other SS (Andy where are you these days?) that won't show their faces and disappear without a trace.

I've been stiffed by some of these losers and you can't find them anywhere.Reminds me of cockroaches when you turn on the lights!!!

Re: To each and every notary that has worked for us

How interesting - where were you or Alissha when I had problems on one of your closings? Where were you or Alissha when I placed 3 calls afterward to advise you that it didn't close?
Where were you when your client company tried to reach you/Alissha to re-schedule and had to call me direct in order to get it done? Where were you or Alissha when I tried to reach you or Alissha to let you know I was going back out to complete the closing? No responses and then all of the voice mail boxes were full. You may be there but you don't take your calls

Sorry Paul - had your company confused with Pacific Doc, also in CA. Haven't work for you and apologize for the post.

Re: To each and every notary that has worked for us

Paul,
I'm glad to hear that you are not shutting your doors and are striving to stay open. Even during better times, I remember that you were one of the few signing companies that paid an above average rate and as you stated - every 2 weeks.

Good luck to you and all of us that are struggling in a difficult, economic period.

As I posted in the original thread a couple of months ago:

Joe Monroe is a detective with the Irvine Police Dept, the complaints were probably forwarded to him.
