SPEEDY CLOSING AND TITLE SERVICES

Just as a heads up to everyone --

I accepted an order yesterday evening through Speedy Closing and Title Services in Ringoes, NJ for today at 4pm while I was in the car, so I couldn't look up their record. I looked them up early this morning and their record on here wasn't the best. I then thought that I might have done a signing for them in the past so I went back to my QuickBooks and looked them up. Sure enough they still owe me from a signing back in December 2007. My records show they were invoiced twice and I got the run around after each phone call. So I politely emailed them and carbon copied the title company on the ordeal that I would not be conducting the closing due to a non payment history with me. Less then 15 minutes later I get a very angry phone call from a guy at Speedy Closing screaming at me that I emailed the title company and that he just got his "ass chewed out" by them. He could care less about the money he owed me, he just wanted to scream at me for carbon copying the title company and how he will never use me again.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up! Thanks!

We all need to stop no pay signing companies this is one way of doing it.

Crooks they have title services in their name but they only do loan signings no title work scam co.they put that in the name to look professional but the are very unprofessional

They will be out of business in this market if we all would do what Jonathan Scott did

Thanks for the post...

...it reminded me that I have an outstanding invoice with Speedy for a closing on 4/15 for FiServ...I had sent two past-due notices and an email and didn't receive a response. I still have the documents in my completed closings email folder, so I looked up the title company which was FiServ. I called the number listed on the Closing Agent Instructions and spoke to Vince LaPenta. He called Frank at Speedy, who said that he "thought he had mailed a check" and if he hadn't, one would go out today.

By talking to Vince, I found out that FiServ prefers to work directly with Notaries, and he is going to email me the documents to fill out.

So, your post will result in my getting paid and a new closing relationship!

Am I the only one who has ever questioned the relationship between a HUGE vendor management company (or it's agent, Susan Brown) and little ole' Frank Amari? (I am not implying any type personal relationship). Why in the world does a company with one of the largest data bases in the business EVER need a signing service, especially one that has been slow to pay for almost a decade? Things that make you go hummmmmm

Sometimes it's the only recourse we have, contacting the tc or lender. I've done a couple for Frank @ Speedy. I did get paid at just over 60 days and probably wouldn't work for him again. I am a bit curious though. How could you "forget" an unpaid invoice from December?
I would have turned that one over for collection a long time ago.
