Speedy Closing Paid as Promised

On 7/17/08 I turned down a signing with Speedy because of posts online. Frank called and explained what had happened to cause the payment situation. Then he promised my payment quickly if I took it, but left it up to me whether I took the assignment or not. I took it and the promised payment arrived today as promised. It seems to me they are trying to recover and move on.

jumped out at me a rather ridiculous statement. What was he going to do, force you to accept the order?

We read posts like this every few months. When a company has a bad reputation in excess of 5 years the writing is on the wall ... especially in this situation if you know any of the 'interminglings' ...

I took 1 without checking their rep back in April. Still waiting...

He has used this tactic before. He does try to pressure you into doing the closing. He once offered me a ridiculously high amount to do a closing which I had a feeling was way over what he would get paid, knowing that he would not pay it.
