Sylvia/Bruce update

Sylvia asked that people please keep Bruce in their prayers over the next few days. The doctors have finally found that his diagnosis was chronic heart failure due to fluid around the heart. She is happy to report that the fluid is now gone, but there are a number of other tests that are needing to be done to determine appropriate treatment. The initial problem was that the fluid on the heart was creating enough of a problem that the circulation of blood was not occurring and his brain was nearly being starved of oxygen. The cardiologist has ordered additional tests as have other attending physicians. The recovery period is expected to be long. But, she has advised him that he needs to quit smoking and get well in time for the October cruise. Sylvia is currently worn and not feeling like posting at this time and appreciates the many persons that have expressed their thoughts and shared concerns for Bruce with her.

When I spoke with her yesterday they were unsure of the diagnosis.
From a medical point of view, learning the diagnosis is good news, because
once the problem is identified, then it can be treated.
Prayers are being heard for you and Bruce, Sylvia.
