What is up with the "Find a Notary"
on this site. I don't think I'll ever understand it. The mileage is a huge joke. I also don't have any idea why I plug in a county and 3 zip codes show up when there are probably 75 zip codes - the Quick and Accu are incomprehensible to me and I've got no idea why they exist. When someone plugs in a county, why doesn't everyone who covers that county automatically show up? I'm also not back to the great unhappening purge. The newest thing I don't get is the vast number of notaries from another state who have suddenly appeared as premier members. I can almost guarantee that the majority of them, if any, are not Pennsylvania notaries.

I lost a signing last week due to the mileage. Another notary got a job that was 20 miles from her and it was 3 miles from me. She showed me her confirmation and asked me if I knew of this company. It was from a company that I do a lot of signings for and have been told by the scheduler that I am always called first. She said Notary Rotary showed she was closer. She said she knew I had a part-time job. I told her my job is in the mornings and I can still do afternoon, evenings, anytime Monday or weekends. This was for 6pm 3 miles from me.

The zip code feature is a total nightmare!
I had to start using my mothers address on my profile, as it didn't even show me in wake county. Even using my moms zipcode, it shows me as farther away from my zip code, than a notary in the same zip. How can I be 6.9 miles away from 27519 and another notary be 2.3 miles away from it, when we are both in it? When I search for notaries in more rural areas, it gives me notaries 100 miles away, not 30. I don't get it. With all the mapping programs out there, there has to be some type of better zip code locater!
