Bancserv email received yesterday
Anyone else get this?
Here at Bancserv, we are constantly looking for new ways to drive additional business to our notaries. Currently we are in the process of evaluating what level of interest some of our notaries have in regards to e-signing mortgage documents.
Your assistance is appreciated for answering the following:
1. Do you currently own a laptop computer?
2. Do you currently own a wireless internet card (ie Sprint or Verizon)?
3. Do you currently own a wireless mouse?
4. Are you currently set up through the NNA for E-Notarizations?
5. Do you currently own a laser printer to accept E-Mail docs?
Again thank you for you time.

I think inquiry needs to be made as to whether they are prepared to compensate signing agents for the additional expense they require.

Re: Right on, Kevin!
BancServ's many rules for signing agents, but few for themselves (no fee printed on confirmation), made me say bye bye long ago.

Re: Right on, Kevin!
No fee on confirmation and shorting every check I ever got from them. How do you trust a company after trying to resolve that issue?

I got one from Bancserve about Reverse Mortgages.
If you sign up and fill out all these forms, they might call you for Reverse Mortgages. But I noticed funny wording: Criminal background check for NNA notaries and attorneys. What are they trying to say here? o.O

Re: I got one from Bancserve about Reverse Mortgages.
I remember Bancserv's offer for RM training (free) and along with that they claimed that CW was requiring Notaries to be criminally background checked. They offered such through their affiliate company (can't remember name, started with an A). I replied to their email letting them know that the California Notaries were background checked through the SOS and therefore that should suffice. Bancserve responded with, "that isn't good enough". I responded with, "too bad as I'm not paying $54 for your bc.
I also received their 5 question email. I doubt I will receive work from them as they only pay $50 for a signing. I didn't go into business to work for $6.50 an hour.

They claim to now pay $110
Can anyone verify that Bancserv pays $110?

Re: Maybe for a piggyback w/e-docs!
After back & forth emails with Chris Lizar, I believe they're fishing to see who is equipped to do e-notarizations and it seems as if they'll offer $110 is for them.

No. Also you cannnot have a wired mouse, Ha Ha. And who doesn't have a laser printer in this business. Seems like they are fishing for idiots.
