Company Rating

There is always the question from folks about XYZ Closing Company and whether or not they pay and/or are the a legitimate company.

So, I ask, is there a place where we can go and enter/report XYZ Closing Company into an easily accessible online database where we can check the reputation/background of the company before we decide to do business with them? Do they pay ontime? How much do they pay compared to others?

I've not found such a place online other than these forums, so, if there where such a place, would it be helpfull? Would it be used? Would it be honest for both parties?

I'm talking about a web site where you can enter XYZ Closing Company and it's contact information, the reporting persons' contact information (private of course) [I always feel that an anonymous entry is not worth as much], a brief comment, and rating .... much like how eBay works when it comes to the buyer & seller rating system .... that would mean that XYZ Closing Company would also be free to rate the NSA. Take it a step further, the mutual client of the NSA and XYZ Closing Company can logon and rate one or the other or both :o)

This is me thinking out loud ....

have you been to Signing Central here? Is that along the lines of what you seek?

See posting Msg #239922 ... that company would earn a bad rating. So, when called upon by that company ABC Notary can look them up and check out their reputation.

I think that is what Signing Central is supposed to be. Unfortunately, people don't link their comments to the SC section often enough. The problem with these things, though, is that they are always subjective. And I imagine you've heard that there are always three sides to every story: his, hers and the truth... Smile When a trend emerges, you know you're on to something!

Try "NotaryBeWare". It's a paid site but only $20. I think.
