Fingerprinting

I received my first request to do fingerprint cards to accompany a medical licensure application, but I don't have time to order the equipment online. I am in Chicago and am looking to find these tools locally. What companies might I be able to find to buy the finger print cards and pads over the counter?? Any tips or techniques to this procedure is very welcomed too!! Thanks in advance for all your feedback and consideration.

I have the adult and children fingerprint cards. You also need the finger printing machine. I have the portable one from the NNA. I do this for Real Estate License classes, Consealed Weapons classes. I got all my supplies for the NNA, I could not find them anywhere else.

Thank you again. I found the portable kit for $160 and now I'm wondering about pricing for this service. The client is sending in two applications for different state licensing which must be notarized and each include fingerprint cards. If I charge $100 for the notary service, is the fingerprinting pricing in line with that or is it an additional fee and what's the average fee??

Wow, you are getting $100 for two applications. I charge $10 for each application, $15 for fingerprint fees and then my travel fee. If I do a whole class, I do not charge a travel fee

Re: Fingerprinting kits

Wow!! That www.fingerprintpads.com is awesome!! I got exactly what I needed for under $20. Thank you so much for the link. National Notary Association only had a full kit that I didn't really need for the $160. Thanks again.

Exactly. My base travel fee for a loan signing or anywhere else that I might be for hopefully less than an hour is $75. Then I add e-docs(min.$25) or what have you. I guess in this case I'm getting $25 for the fingerprinting portion since the notarization of the applications are free or included in the base fee.

Separate fee. Separate costs. Your pricing structure

must included added services, and you must track that income/expense. What if here were no notarization, but fingerprinting only?

Base fees are just that. Base. We provide Mobile Services - Specialized Mobile Services. Some of which, are per se legally binding, delivered mobily. Like a Taxi driver, the plumber, the courier - there in an intrinsic value to starting the car. Someone is hiring me to *go* do something I'm in business to do.

There is a difference, imho, between 'getting' a fee and 'charging' a fee. I charge specific fees, adjusted for cost increases, just like every other business that's still alive. (Sorry for the repeat, but so many SAs and SSs are gone/going, "alive" really is the operative thought here.)

So, yes. As you can see from the various reponses, actual numbers vary greatly, and those not charging enough are always surprised at someone 'getting' more. As you find that intrinsic value to starting your car, that base by which you begin an assignment, you will develop and refine your pricing structure to better maintain your Budget.

We are a Mobile business, and the costs of maintaining that mobility is the largest part of my fees right now because it is the greatest cost. Others will have other costs greater/lesser than fuel, since virtually everything is rising fast too. Fees are directly related to costs, so costs must be accurately accounted, so fees can be reasonably charged.
