I just ordered a MAGIC JACK...
Can somebody here share their experience with it?
It has a 30 day money back satisfaction warranty.
Thanks in advance.

I have only heard reviews on it. I would get it but they do not have Idaho numbers.

It gets pluged into you computer and it adds a phone line. It is simple. You can not fax with it. I love mine I use it for all my out going calls and I use my cell phone for incomming calls only. That is all there is to it. Next year it will be even cheeper the whole year will be about $20.00. I just found a site that offers unliminted faxing for $8.95 a month so I am saving about $650 a year with my magic jack and my new fax service now I'm a happy camper. I just wish it would find my keys.

Hi, can you install in different computers and move the usb to any computer you want to use. For example can I have it in my desktop and then when I travel I can take it with my laptop? I red all in their website and this question is not covered in the FAQ.
Thank you.

I must be a little thick, on how this works. In my office at home, I have an extension phone. Now if I take that line and plug it into MagicJack (with its own number) which # will prevail.? And what happens when the house phone rings, with MagicJack plugged into the computer.??

You're either going to plug your extension phone into a wall jack for use as a regular phone OR into the MagicJack for use as a VOIP phone - not both at the same time. Whichever it's plugged into id the phone number it will use.
Also - and this may be stating the obvious - MagicJack only works when the computer is on and you're connected to the Internet...

Yes, you're right, thank you. I hadn't thought about VoIP. Brings up another thought, about having another number in use, and how best to use it, considering you have to inform certain people you have a new # and are you going to use it for business, which would mean constant connection.

Unless you've got a constant and reliable internet connection, you would probably be better off using it only for outbound calls. I certainly wouldn't use it as an inbound business line, but it seems like you could save a lot of money even if you only use it for making calls.

I tried to dirve and call with my Husband with my air card was a choppy call, but I did get it to ring my phone. I pulled over and it was great. I do have a cell phone, so I do not take my jack with me. I can use it on 2 computers. I just pluged it in and went to fix it and it upgraded all the information on the other computer just now and it loaded everything it was easy
