I wish we could do the same:
United Air Raises Fares by Up to $50 Friday March 14, 1:10 pm ET
"Fuel is our highest expense. The cost of it clearly continues to rise," Urbanski said. "We must be able to pass along these costs just like other businesses do."
Yeah right!!

It gets pretty cold in Hell. Hell is located in Michigan approx 60 miles west of Detroit.

i refuse to fly united any more sice they.........
canceled my miles because i didn't take a trip last year.......in small print [which i didn't read they said i could buy some miles and save the ones i had......[my bad for not reading closer] but their e-mails are full of so much jibberish that if you are like me and not careful [impatient is th word] you miss it...i lost 40,000 miles and they can take a flying ---- as far as i am concerned.......i still have quite a few miles with north west and will use them......so when i go to LA, instead of landing at burbank i will have to land at lax......

I won't fly United either since they lost my luggage...
but most carriers are imposing fees to offset the fuel prices...like charging for a second bag - USAirways charges $25 now for a second bag and that's going up to $50 on 5/1 (I just book a flight to CT for May so reviewed all that stuff)...
I just raised my signing fees by $5 to help offset the higher gas prices...gas today near me is $3.34/gal and rising!!

Gas isn't the only thing going up fast. Food is
skyrocketing, health insurance is outta sight and rising, municipalities are losing revenue at an alarming rate, and our national debt is astronomical. The Two Wars cost/debt is approaching a Trillion Dollars.
TransUnion just sent an 'offer' to place you on their 'first tier' status if you agree to lower your fee to $46.
What's wrong with this picture?

Oversupply of NNA, get rich quick notarys. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them are doing quite well with volume, at least more than they could make otherwise. I just wonder how many are not reporting income.

Volume doesn't guarantee profit!
"some of them are doing quite well with volume"
At those rates, after they figure in all their REAL expenses, they would probably have to not report the income to make any money. I wouldn't be surprised if they are working at a loss anyway. At best, they're likely making less than minimum wage. Couldn't agree more about the oversupply issue, but in all fairness -- at least in my area -- the NNA isn't the only culprit.
