Legal Paper Sales?

Does anyone have a Quill code or knowledge of any legal paper sales?

Thx!
Jlee

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "paper sales" but the reference I know is when someone holds a beneficial interest in a Note and Deed of Trust or a Vendors Interest in a Real Estate Contract. Yes, they can sell those interests, it is done quite often and is legal.

Normally you might have someone who initially loans the money or holds the debt but they would rather have cash now than the long term income. Many times they discount the income stream and sell it.

It's done with an Assignment of Beneficial Interest for a Trust Deed and a Vendors Assignment of Contract and Deed for the contract interest.

Re: ROFLMAO - me too!

And why do we laugh? Because we can see ourselves doing it! Or could it be because we remember SNL from the good ol' days when Rosanna Rosannadanna made us laugh until we cried.

Thank you Nancy for being such a good sport. I got another belly chuckle this evening. Third one today from you, girl. You are right about the title and escrow biz. In my day job there are inside jokes flying around town in emails. You better learn to laugh or you just can't cut it.

Sam's Club seems to have the best everyday price for legal paper. I bought a case 2 weeks ago and paid $36.16. Of course you have to have a membership (about $40 a year) but it's worth it just to buy paper, I think.

James,
I just checked with FEDEX/KINKOS. #XER3R2051 $3.55 per ream. Free shipping over $50.00 order. Hope that helps.

Re: the feeling is mutual

I've been in escrow since dirt was old and the one thing I've learned is that an ounce of humor or fun is worth GOLD. I'm glad that I was able to start the morning off with a smile for some of you...I had one too.

I appreciate your kudos and kind words as well. Although "escrow interests" and "notary interests" sometimes cause misunderstandings, I think we are more alike than different. Professional people wanting to do the best job possible doing their part of a very complex business.

So, I will leave you with my favorite saying of all time:

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes it is that little voice at the end of the day that says..."I will try again tomorrow."

Quill hasn't had any sales recently & price of their legal is way up. I've gone back to buying a case at Costco (just paid $37.12 yesterday w/tax) or Sams Club.
