Legal paper & costs

In these times of downturn, all of us are looking to save money wherever we can. The cost of fuel is causing major problems, we all know this as we are being offered less and less while costs we cannot control are spiking. A friend stopped at one of the office stores today, and was totally shocked at the cost of paper. You cannot go to FedEx/Kinkos and get this deal, but you can call (800-270.9730) or order online. Their price has gone up about $2 case for Ikon paper, IKO8514, to $37.21, but you can have no shipping costs if you order $50+, or a case of legal other supplies. There is also a promo $5 off, which helps to offset the tax on the paper/supplies as well. I am adding their website addy to save you time in researching this. Everyone is passing gas costs along - it will be reflected in your paper costs, it is just a matter of time. I know, it is hard to think of stocking up when there is this slowdown, it's just my pragmatism settling in here.

Spend $50.00 and we'll give you $5.00 back, no questions asked.

Just enter Promo Code: FDKSAVE5
in all capital letters during checkout and your discount will be applied to your order total.
Legal: IKO8514
Letter: Xerox, 37.40, not an advantage here.

And you get to drive over ($$), walk in, buy things you may not need ($$-$$$), load onto cart, stand in line ($$$$ for my time) wait while cart is emptied onto another cart, load in car ($$$$- me again), drive home/office, unload ($$$$$$ - me) lug into bldg., put away...
VS
point and click, open door, request put over there...Thank you so much. ($50)

Or, my experience, order from FED EX wait 10 days for the

delivery, they finally deliver the paper (after making 3 phone calls asking when is my paper order going to get here) leaving it in the rain, unprotected. Then the paper curls so bad that you have to stand over the top of your printer while printing or pick the papers up off of the floor.

My solution now is to go to Costco, get paper, unload and print no problems. Plus get to pick up other items on trip, and write trip off taxes, cost of membership off taxes, big bonus is no hassel with curling printer paper and can get other work done while printing edocs.

Re: Agreed.

I bought the legal paper thru Fedex/Kinko for $3.50...the day of delivery the driver could not locate my office so I had to meet him 20 miles away. The driver loaded the paper in the van and when I saw the paper all I could do is laugh. It looked like the box was dropped out of the plane then ran over several times. I learned my lesson. Quill all the way!!!!
