Lending Tree
Be aware of Lending Tree Loans. They hired " The Final Step" in Maryland to close loans for them. This Company was ripping Notaries throughout 2007 and Lending Tree kept using them until FInal Step Claimed Bankrupsy in November. I contacted Lending Tree and they have a " Your S O L attitude towards the Notaries. Why should they care, Their loans were closed and they seem to have a blind eye towards currupt signing companies THEY choose to use. " The Lending Tree' should be more aware on what companies they hire to close their loans. My advice is to avoid any Signing company in Maryland that closes Lending Tree Loans, Im sure The FInal Step will comeback under a new name and will once again do Lending Tree Loans.

As every notary who has been a NSA knows LendingTree used SOX exclusively for their signings. I for one when just started this business, used to accept signing from SOX until Sox started to pay late. When notaries started complaining to Lendingtree about Sox, eventually LT dropped Sox and went with four different signing co. Amongst them were The Final Step, Notarize 24/7 and 2 others. I got stiffed by The Final Step only one time and luckily I found out soon. Notarize 24/7 is good and I will work for them anytime. Lending tree pays a flat fee of $90 for overnight docs and $115 for Edocs to their signing companies. In turn notaries get $50 and $75.
