As usual, there are missing pieces to this story. If they sent the broker away without signing new loan docs, why would they have begun to made payments on a new loan? Makes no sense whatsoever. If someone never signed paperwork for ABC Lender, why in the wrold woudl they begin to make payments to ABC lender - they would continue to make payments to their original lender. These don't appear to be unintelligent people and I am quite certain the broker was a total crook but all the facts aren't here.
