Non-paying Signing Services
Seems to me if 20 or more notaries are commenting on Notary Rotary regarding your non-payment practices and you say it's not true that you do pay; then who are we to believe?

This is not a tough question. If 3 notaries came here claiming a certain SS was non-paying then it's curtains for them in my book.

I am so glad you agree Pete. That's certainly how I see it.

When more than a couple of notaries complain, then I would say the company has a payment problem.

It is always good to read the comments on any given company. The hard ones are the start up companies since the background information is limited and then the added pre-caution of knowing who the owners are since so many of them close their doors and try to assume another name to work under. The joy of this business. It's not just a job, it is an adventure.

I have done this for 16 years and I am glad there is information out there now. I am very careful not to jump to conclusions, however, if I see a pattern of complaints I will address it with them and see what they say. If they have a very bad record I will refuse unless paid directly through title. Then there are a few who I will not work for at all..no matter what. We know who they are. =-) When I do question a company, I don't specify who said it, just that I have the info and want clarification. I don't want them coming up with excuses for exact transaction issues. I am trying to see if it they just had a couple of notary issues or if it is a company issue. If I tell them a certain situation, they tend to make excuses for that exact transaction. I don't need to work with non paying or slow paying companies. I don't want to help them make money either.
